Bring a plate of food for our shared meal as we come together to talk about how we can take action in our community to protect our climate, groundwater and precious Great Barrier Reef from Adani’s monstrous coal mine.
Despite 5 years of resistance through legal battles, actions and raising our voices; Adani is closer than ever to building their mine — announcing last month that they are closing in on finance for the rail line.
We need to get to work in our communities and make sure everyone knows: the only reason Adani’s coal mine is still a possibility is that the people elected to represent us keep putting coal billionaires first.
With billions invested in the project, Adani won’t walk away. Our politicians can stop it – but we’re going to have to make them.
Guest speaker Moira Williams from Tipping Point and Stop Adani Brisbane will talk about the national plan to shift the politics to #StopAdani and move Australia beyond coal! Then hear from your local #StopAdani group about how you can be part of local efforts to stop the mine.
